Ever since my high school years, I have been interested in mechanic systems and engineering design. The robotics club at my high school was a great gateway to the world of engineering. Robotics and related competitions and coursework became a huge part of my life. My dedication to learning and giving back to my school led me to become the president of the robotics club during the difficult time that was the COVID pandemic.
After my passion for the industry was sparked, I started my pursuit of a degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Florida. Using the leadership skills I learned in high school and the technical skills I learned in my college classes, I began to join clubs and hone my engineering knowledge on my free time.
Now I have been a part of two engineering clubs since my first year at the University of Florida. As a now veteran active member, I am going into my fourth year as the Vice President of the Gator Gladiators sumo robotics club and the captain of the Multiple Projects Technical Design Team. I hope that my contributions to these clubs can inspire new students to become passionate about engineering as I was in my first year of college.
